The scientific name of Amaranth is Amaranthus. It was first cultivated by the Aztecs 8000 years back. It was their staple food. It accounted for 80% of their energy. It was used to make a treat called "Alergia" ("joy" in Spanish. It is naturally gluten-free seed cooked and eaten like grain. High in protein and fibre, zero chlolesterol, zero transfat and good source of calcium.

Ingredients: Organic raw whole grain amaranth.
